Sterling Bank is putting its money where its mission is – with a bold ₦2 billion scholarship commitment over the next three years.
Through the “Beyond Education” initiative, the bank is offering 600 fully-funded university scholarships to deserving Nigerians in partnership with Miva Open University.
This isn’t your average scholarship. It’s part of Sterling’s long-term vision to invest in Nigeria’s most valuable resource: its people.
By focusing on the HEART sectors – Health, Education, Agriculture, Renewable Energy, and Transportation – Sterling aims to break the barriers that stop young Nigerians from accessing higher education.
What makes this scholarship unique?
At its core, the program offers full tuition support for the entire length of an undergraduate degree at Miva Open University.
While recipients will need to take care of their own expenses (like internet, devices, and living costs), the cost of actual tuition?
That’s covered 100%.
Learning is fully online, with flexible schedules and access to Miva’s community hubs for additional support.
Miva, founded by tech innovator Sim Shagaya, is accredited and known for offering high-quality education that’s accessible, affordable, and doesn’t require a JAMB score.
